In a statement, the funeral parlor said they are condoling with the families of those who were killed by Monday’s 7.8-magnitude quake. “We extend our deepest sympathy and unwavering solidarity to all our Kababayans in Mindanao following the devastating Magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck on the morning of June 8, 2026. Our thoughts are with the families facing loss and damage, particularly in the Soccsksargen region (South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, General Santos),” St. Peter said. “During this challenging time, St. Peter Chapels will provide free funeral services for those who lost their lives in this tragedy as our support to their bereaved families,” they added. Families in Metro Manila who have loved ones in Mindanao can contact the following numbers: (02) 8371-9999, (02) 7946-9999, and 0919-056-9999. “They may also visit any St. Peter Chapel in the affected areas for immediate assistance,” the funeral parlor said. According to their website, there are 40 St. Peter chapels in Mindanao, including two branches at General Santos City, where most of the quake took place.
