"One Hundred Years of Pioneering Spirit": Rax Cable Car Celebrates 100th Anniversary

The Rax Cable Car in Lower Austria celebrated its 100th anniversary on Tuesday. On the occasion of its opening on June 9, 1926 - at that time as the first passenger cable car in Austria - many distinguished guests gathered in Reichenau an der Rax (Neunkirchen district). Among them were State Secretary Elisabeth Zehetner and Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner (both ÖVP), who looked back on "a hundred years of pioneering spirit."
