THE Office of the Vice President (OVP) said it has deployed its Kalusugan Food Truck to provide hot meals to frontliners aiding victims of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Mindanao on Monday. The truck, it said, will be stationed near the collapsed Save More building in Barangay Calumpang, General Santos City. "The deployment forms part of the OVP's broader disaster response efforts being coordinated through the Disaster Operations Center and implemented by its Southern Mindanao Satellite Office in close coordination with local government units, emergency response teams, and partner agencies," the OVP said in a statement on Tuesday. The OVP said it will continue monitoring developments on the ground and will be ready to augment ongoing humanitarian operations for communities affected by the earthquake. REINA TOLENTINO
