Parent, child found dead in water in Raseborg recreation area

An adult person and a child were found dead in the water at an outdoor recreation area in Raseborg, a municipality in southern coast of Finland late Monday night, police said in a press release on Tuesday. The incident took place after the under-school age child and one of the parents went missing from Ekenäs area in the Västerby outdoor recreation spot at about 8:00 p.m., local media reported. Responding to an alarm rescue service people together with police and other authorities rushed to the spot and conducted extensive search in the area and recovered the bodies of the child and parent from the water in the recreation spot. Police, however, did not divulge the identities of the deceased and details about the incident. They are investigating into the incident to find out the reason behind the deaths.
