'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' actor Anthony Head dies at 72

English actor and singer Anthony Head has passed away, his daughters Emily and Daisy Head confirmed on Friday, June 5, via a statement to the Press Association news agency. According to Emily and Daisy, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor “passed away peacefully of complications due to pneumonia, surrounded by his family.” “Our grief is far greater than the hole he has left behind, but we know his legacy will live on, in the shows he was a part of, and in the audiences that love them,” Associated Press quotes Anthony's daughters. “How lucky we are to know we are able to watch him doing what he loved, even when he is no longer with us.” Emily and Daisy also ask that their privacy be “respected at this difficult time.” RELATED GALLERY: SADDEST AND MOST SHOCKING CELEBRITY DEATHS Anthony Head rose to fame in the United Kingdom in the 1980s following his role in the Gold Blend couple television advertisements for Nescafé.
