Gulf Air has successfully restored 100% of its operational network following the reopening of regional airspace, marking a significant milestone in the national carrier’s recovery efforts after a period of disruption. Speaking during an interview with Al Ayam Editor-in-Chief Rashid Al Hamr, Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Martin Gauss confirmed that all destinations have resumed service and that the airline is now focused on rebuilding booking levels and revenues to reach pre-crisis performance. Gauss revealed that during the extraordinary period when Gulf Air operated from King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, the airline transported nearly 60,000 passengers and maintained direct services to 13 destinations. In addition, the carrier successfully delivered more than 2,000 tonnes of essential cargo, including food supplies, medical equipment, and other critical goods to Bahrain. He described the operation as a unique achievement within the global aviation industry, highlighting the resilience and adaptability demonstrated by the airline and its teams throughout the crisis.
