Heavy rains trigger mudflow and flooding alerts in mountainous areas of Uzbekistan.

The Center for Hydrometeorological Services (Uzhydromet) has issued a safety advisory warning of potential mudflows and flash floods across nine regions of the country. Torrential downpours forecast between June 9 and June 12 are expected to impact mountain and foothill zones, creating hazardous conditions and water logging in low-lying areas..
