LUCENA CITY, Quezon — Despite the onset of the rainy season, the local government of the coastal municipality of Infanta in Quezon province on Wednesday continued to urge residents to take precautions after the town’s heat index reached a dangerous 46 degrees Celsius. In a public advisory posted on its Facebook page at around 12:20 p.m., the local government said the 46°C heat index was recorded at 11 a.m. by the Infanta Synoptic Station of the Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
