MANILA, Philippines — Transport group Manibela chairperson Mar Valbuena on Thursday appealed for commuters’ understanding and sympathy as they call for a fare increase in view of the rising cost of fuel due to the conflict in the Middle East. Valbuena criticized the suspension of the fare hike on several public utility vehicles, such as jeepneys, buses, airport taxis, point-to-point buses, and transport network vehicle services.
