[Trigger warning: Mentions of domestic violence] MANILA, Philippines — The Emergency 911 National Office recorded a total of 3,392 calls related to violence against women and their children (VAWC) from January 2025 to February 2026. In a statement on Thursday, the Emergency 911 National Office said 2,533 of the calls logged during the said period involved physical, sexual, psychological or economic abuse.
