BAGUIO CITY — Two photojournalists died after the sport utility vehicle (SUV) they were riding was swept away by the swollen Agno River while attempting to cross in Itogon, Benguet, on Friday afternoon, March 27, authorities said. The Police Regional Office–Cordillera (PRO-CAR) said the incident occurred around 1:20 p.m. in Sitio Tabu, Barangay Dalupirip, when the vehicle was overpowered by strong currents. The fatalities were identified as Ompong Tan, who was declared dead on arrival at Itogon District Hospital, and Neil Clark Ongchangco, whose body was recovered around 7:05 p.m. by search and rescue teams.
