"Women athletes from Russia and Belarus held an official rehearsal ahead of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup 2026, with both teams performing parts of their routines under coach supervision. Footage filmed in Sofia's Arena 8888 on Friday shows teams going through their routines using balls, hoops and ribbons, as journalists and spectators watched. Athletes from both countries are returning to competition under the status of Individual Neutral Athletes (AIN), after initially being banned from international events amid Russia-Ukraine conflict. The sport has historically been dominated by Russia and other former Soviet states, which have won 39 of 48 medals since the 1984 Olympic boycott. The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is scheduled to take place from March 28 to 30 in Sofia."
