IMF chief visits Philippines to deepen collaboration amid Asean chairship

MANILA, Philippines —  The International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief recently visited the Philippines to deepen collaboration amid country’s chairship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Summit this 2026. In a courtesy visit to BSP Governor Eli Remolona Jr., IMF managing director Kristalina Georgieva reaffirmed the IMF’s commitment to support efforts to foster a “prosperous, inclusive and resilient” society, the BSP said in a statement on Monday.
