MANILA, Philippines—The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is set to release a memorandum circular next week for the proposed carpooling initiative in Metro Manila amid rising fuel prices. In a press briefing on Monday, officials from the MMDA, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) presented the proposed guidelines for carpooling, with stakeholders from the transport sector expected to provide inputs within the week.
