MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) will be deploying around 40,000 firefighters as part of safety measures during this year’s observance of the Holy Week, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said on Monday. In a statement, the DILG, which supervises the BFP, noted that the fire bureau will be on Code Red Alert amid the influx of travelers.
