QC police tracks down owner of vehicle in 'gas and run' case

MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has identified the owner and confirmed the plate number of the vehicle whose driver recently fled a gas station without settling his fuel bill of over P5,000. “Authorities immediately coordinated with the Land Transportation Office and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, resulting in a clearer image of the Toyota Innova’s plate number and identification of the registered owner,” the QCPD said in a statement on Monday. “Validation is now ongoing, as the owner stated that the vehicle had been passed to another person through ‘pasalo,’ a practice of transferring vehicle possession […]...
