Homes hit - Residential areas damaged as Iran missile barrage triggers sirens across Northern Israel

"Several impacts from falling missile debris were reported across central and northern Israel on Monday, triggering sirens from Netanya to the Galilee as multiple projectiles were launched from Iran. Footage released by Magen David Adom (MDA) shows emergency medical teams arriving at a house reportedly hit by falling fragments in northern Israel. The impact area is being cordoned off, and emergency teams are seen entering the property, where structural damage is visible with rubble lying both inside and outside the property. The exact location of the footage cannot be independently verified. This comes after an Iranian missile strike hit the city’s Neot Hovav industrial complex on Sunday, a critical hub responsible for roughly half of Israel’s chemical production. Sirens had sounded across southern Israel in the hours leading up to the strike, including areas near the Dimona nuclear research facility. Tensions in the Middle East have escalated since the United States and Israel launched a joint military operation against Iran on February 28, during diplomatic efforts aimed at curbing Tehran’s nuclear and missile programmes. Iran responded with retaliatory strikes on Israeli and US targets in the region, alongside reports of explosions in several Gulf countries. Iran later confirmed the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, with his son Mojtaba Khamenei named as his successor. The conflict also spread to Lebanon, where Hezbollah said it intervened in response to Khamenei’s killing. Key shipping routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, were disrupted following its closure."
