Immediate but gradual reduction of central forces in Chhattisgarh: Minister

Central security forces in Chhattisgarh will be gradually reduced over the next 18 months. The state has freed 96 percent of its areas from Maoist influence. Top Maoist leaders are no longer active in the region. The government will assist surrendered Maoists in reintegrating into their villages.
