ISLAMABAD: The House Business Advisory Committee of the National Assembly, chaired by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, on Monday, decided to continue the ongoing session of the lower house until April 10, 2026, with a focus on legislative business and key national issues. The meeting reviewed the agenda and duration of the 26th session, agreeing to take up question hour, important legislation, and matters of national significance during the remaining sittings. Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker highlighted austerity measures within the National Assembly, stating that 75 percent of official vehicles have been grounded, including all protocol vehicles, while only around 200 staff members are currently attending office as part of the cost-cutting drive.
