A St Catherine father accused of sexually assaulting his daughter has been freed by the parish court after a no-case submission was upheld. The man, whose identity is being withheld to protect the complainant, was charged with grievous sexual assault. The application was made by attorney-at-law Odane Marston who argued, among other things, that there were glaring inconsistencies in the prosecution’s case and that his client should be given the benefit of the doubt.
