LEGAZPI CITY — The local government of Donsol in Sorsogon province has canceled this year’s Butanding Festival, originally set from April 24 to 30, citing the impact of rising oil prices. Desiree Abitria, municipal tourism officer, said the decision was reached during an emergency meeting with the town’s tourism committee. “We unanimously agreed that everyone is struggling due to the spike in oil prices,” Abitria said in an interview.
