Mt. Banahaw fire affects grassland areas in Quezon - DENR

LUCENA CITY — A brush fire that broke out atop Mt. Banahaw in Quezon province on Sunday, March 29, burned approximately 1,000 square meters of grassland, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) reported. In a report submitted Monday to DENR Calabarzon director Nilo Tamoria, park superintendent Josephine Barrion said the fire affected areas in Barangay Masalukot V, Candelaria, and Barangay Concepcion Pinagbakuran in Sariaya.
