LOOK: Travelers' number at NAIA on Holy Tuesday slightly up from last year

MANILA, Philippines — Thousands of passengers have showed up at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) in Pasay City for this year’s Holy Week, according to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA). In an interview with the Inquirer, MIAA General Manager Eric Jose Ines said that the arrival and departure of travelers have continued at the airport for the last two weeks.  He explained that the increase in fuel prices, caused by Middle East war, has not yet affected the influx of travelers since “most of the passengers now have purchased their tickets in advance.” “We expected this volume already.
