MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) will be expanding its road clearing operations starting on Wednesday ahead of the influx of travelers for the Holy Week. While authorities usually cleared the country’s expressways and the Maharlika Highway, in a press briefing in Camp Crame on Tuesday, DOTr Secretary Giovanni Lopez said the initiative will be expanded onto other major thoroughfares, particularly the MacArthur Highway.
