DOTr eyes more special permits for buses if demand increases

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is considering issuing more special permits for passenger buses if there is a higher demand for trips. The DOTr deployed a team of Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) personnel at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) to issue special permits for buses should the need arise, according to Secretary Giovanni Lopez.
