ILOILO CITY—Apart from jeepney drivers, the Iloilo City government on Tuesday said that it will begin distributing fuel subsidies to tricycle drivers and operators on April 8, after the Holy Week. The subsidy distribution is funded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), with the local government facilitating documents and organizing the distribution process. The initiative is part of the national government’s assistance program for the transport sector, particularly in response to rising prices of petroleum products and other prime commodities.
