"Residents of Colpa Belgica village have been cut off for more than 100 days after flooding destroyed their only bridge, forcing them to cross a river using a makeshift zipline. On Tuesday, local residents of Colpa Belgica were using the improvised cable system to reach work, school and other basic services. The strong currents on the river, as well as safety risks, make this zipline almost the only option to reach the other side. Community members say they have repeatedly called on authorities to rebuild the bridge, but construction has yet to begin. Until then, residents remain isolated, relying on risky daily crossings to stay connected with nearby areas."
