Authorities in eastern Finland have sealed off an area near the Russian border after a foreign unmanned aircraft was discovered on the ice of Lake Pyhäjärvi in Parikkala. Border Guard patrols identified the object on Tuesday morning during routine surveillance. Officials described the device as a fixed-wing unmanned aircraft larger than typical civilian drones. The location lies close to the national border in a sparsely populated area of South Karelia. The lake extends across both Finland and Russia.
