CEBU CITY, Philippines — A major Cebu-based shipping company has announced a fresh round of fare increases on its Visayas and Mindanao routes, imposing an additional 10-percent fuel surcharge starting April 4 amid rising global oil prices. In an advisory released March 31, Lite Shipping Corporation said the adjustment would apply to all passenger fares and freight rates, citing continued fuel price hikes linked to ongoing developments in the Middle East. “This adjustment is necessary to help sustain our operations and ensure the continued delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient service,” the company said.
