KPT, Romania port sign MoU to enhance maritime cooperation

KARACHI: Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and Maritime Ports Administration SA, Port of Constana, Romania on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance maritime cooperation, trade connectivity, and economic ties. The MoU was signed by KPT Chairman Rear Admiral Shahid Ahmed and General Manager Constana Port Mihai Teodorescu, in the presence of Romania’s Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Romania besides other diplomats and officials from both sides. The agreement establishes collaboration in port operations, engineering, technology, finance, maritime education, and information exchange, leveraging the strategic importance of both ports as key regional gateways.
