The decline in cocoa prices on commodity exchanges is only slowly being reflected for consumers. Chocolate has become somewhat cheaper as supermarkets have reduced prices for their own brands. In contrast, prices for Easter bunnies from brand manufacturers have increased. Manufacturers justify this with long-term supply contracts for raw materials.
