MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — Mandaue City is continuing to enforce its ban on electric bikes (e-bikes) and electric tricycles (e-trikes) along major roads. The policy remains in place even as some local government units consider allowing e-bikes on highways due to rising fuel costs linked to tensions in the Middle East. Hyll Retuya, head of the Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (TEAM), said the city is prioritizing road safety and traffic management.
