ILIGAN CITY – The leadership of the Catholic Church here has joined nongovernment organizations in sounding the alarm bells about the national government’s plan to hand over operations of the Agus and Pulangi hydroelectric power plants. In a position paper obtained by the Inquirer, which was circulated for signatures of support, Bishop Jose Rapadas III, prelate of the Iligan diocese, was among key personalities who asked the national government to refrain from the privatization of the hydroelectric power complex.
