MANILA, Philippines—The Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (DRRM) on Wednesday reported that one person got injured after a crane basket carrying sand fell from a construction site in Manila. According to their initial report, the incident occurred at a building under construction along Florentino Torres Street at the corner of Gonzalo Puyat Street. The crane basket was reportedly lifting sand to an upper level of the structure when it fell. The injured individual was immediately sent to the nearest hospital. The Manila Police District told the Manila Times that investigations are still ongoing to identify the cause of the incident.
