Authorities detect 18 cases of foot-and-mouth on Lesvos

A total 18 cases of the highly contagious foot-and-mouth disease among livestock have been recorded on the eastern Aegean Sea island of Lesvos where Greece’s first case in a quarter-century was detected in mid-March, authorities said Wednesday.
