Use of renewable energy in Cebu's supply chain pushed amid oil price hikes

MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – A group of local advocates is calling for an overhaul of Cebu’s energy supply chain by increasing the share of renewable energy to cushion the impact of the Middle East crisis on power supply. The Cebu Electricity Rights Advocates (CERA) said local distribution utilities and the national grid operator should prioritize Philippine-grown renewable energy to shield consumers from the skyrocketing fuel prices.
