Trade Minister Yeo Han-koo met with the visiting delegation from Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF), the largest business association in France, on Thursday to discuss cooperation in energy, supply chains and advanced industries, Yeo's office said. The meeting was attended by Francois Jackow, chairman of the France-Korea Business Council of MEDEF, and officials from 16 French companies, including Air Liquide, TotalEnergies, Veolia and OPmobility, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources. Thursday's meeting came ahead of a summit between Korean President Lee Jae Myung and French President Emmanuel Macron set to be held Friday in Seoul. The ministry said Yeo and the French business leaders discussed ways to expand cooperation between Korea and France in advanced industries, energy and supply chains amid heightened geopolitical and economic uncertainties in the global environment.
