"A house in the town of Zebdine has been destroyed in an alleged Israeli airstrike amid ongoing military operations in southern Lebanon, with reports of a woman and two children killed. The footage, released on Thursday, captures civil defence teams at the scene, working to clear debris and search for possible victims. Lebanese media reported that "an Israeli airstrike on Zebdine resulted in the deaths of three people - a woman and two children - while debris removal efforts are still ongoing." The Israeli military has not commented directly on the reported strike, but said it continues operations in southern Lebanon aimed at "eliminating Hezbollah’s infrastructure." The incident comes amid a wider escalation in the Middle East following joint US-Israeli military operations against Iran on February 28, carried out during diplomatic efforts aimed at “limiting Iran’s nuclear and missile programs.” Tehran responded by launching strikes targeting Israel and US military sites across the region, with explosions reported in several Gulf countries. Iran later announced the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, with his son Mojtaba Khamenei named as his successor. The conflict has since expanded to Lebanon, where Hezbollah declared its intervention “in vengeance” for the Iranian leader. Shipping routes across the region, including the Strait of Hormuz, have also been exposed to heightened risk following its effective closure, raising concerns over global energy supplies."
