MANILA, Philippines — The assurance from Iran that ships bound for the Philippines — including those carrying oil and those with Filipino seafarers — will be given safe passage along the Strait of Hormuz is good news and boosts confidence among consumers, Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian said.
