Penteng residents live in fear as land guard violence escalates

Residents of Penteng, a farming community in the Afigya Kwabre North District of the Ashanti Region, say they are living in fear following a surge in violent attacks believed to be linked to land guards operating in the area. The community has in recent weeks witnessed alarming incidents, including the severing of a man’s wrist, the burning of a seven-bedroom family house, and the demolition of another building at the lintel stage.
