One dead after car veers off Central Otago road, goes down bank

One person has died after a car came off a Central Otago road and down a bank. Police were alerted to the single-vehicle crash in Ettrick around 11.20am yesterday. A spokesperson said the car veered off Moa Flat Rd and went down the bank. One person was found dead at the scene. The Serious Crash Unit were advised, and inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing, said the spokesperson.
