MANILA, Philippines — Warm and humid weather will persist across much of the country on Good Friday due to prevailing easterlies, the state weather bureau said. According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, will continue to affect Central and Southern Luzon, as well as the Visayas and Mindanao. “A large part of the country will continue to experience hot and humid conditions, especially as easterlies remain the prevailing weather system,” Pagasa weather specialist Leanne Loreto said.
