Boat fare between Boracay and Caticlan to rise by P10 starting April 16

ILOILO CITY—Boat fares for passengers traveling between Caticlan and Boracay Island will increase by P10 beginning April 16, as operators seek to offset rising fuel costs driven by global oil price pressures. In an announcement, the Caticlan-Boracay Transport Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CBTMPC)—the primary group managing pump boat operations on the busy gateway route—said the fare adjustment is provisional. Under the new rates, regular passengers will pay P60, up from P50, while discount card holders will be charged P50. Senior citizens, students, and persons with disabilities will pay P45.
