Guimaras boat operators also jack up fares

ILOILO CITY — Following a series of historic oil price hikes across the country, motorboat operators in Guimaras have announced impending fare increases. The Guimaras Island Transport Multipurpose Cooperative (GITMPC) announced on March 26 that starting April 7, regular fares for its ferries plying between the Iloilo City and Jordan wharves will rise to P40. They will also implement a nighttime fare of P50 for trips departing at 8 p.m. and later.
