Solon: Meeting between HOAs, LGUs needed to help in policy-making

MANILA, Philippines — A lawmaker is proposing to institutionalize regular meetings between homeowners’ associations (HOAs) and local government units (LGUs) so that communities’ needs are considered in policymaking. In a statement on Tuesday, Parañaque Rep. Brian Raymund Yamsuan said he has filed House Bill No. 2582, which seeks amendments to Republic Act No. 9904 or the Magna Carta for Homeowners and Homeowners’ Associations Act, to allow bi-annual public consultations with HOA members.
