In the recording, Woods can be heard explaining what happened: "I looked down at my phone, and all of a sudden... boom!" He described striking a pressure washer trailer before his vehicle overturned. The arrest affidavit states Woods told officers he was looking at his mobile and adjusting the radio when the collision occurred. He confirmed taking medication earlier that morning. This marks the fourth accident involving Woods since 2009, beginning with a collision with a fire hydrant outside his home after his then-wife discovered his infidelity. A 2017 incident saw him arrested for DUI after being found asleep at the wheel, while a 2021 crash in California left him with severe leg fractures.
