"Nectarine orchards near the Georgian town of Gurjaani have burst into full bloom, covering the landscape in a stunning, soft pink hue. Footage shows the vast fields of flowering trees of nectarines - a type of smooth-skinned peach - set against a backdrop of the spectacular mountains. Plantation owner Mikhail Gogiashvili said the blooming period lasts about two weeks. "We harvest about 20 tonnes per hectare, more or less, depending on how it is planted. Our team generally does not overload the peach fields and does not treat them purely for exploitation. We do not plant to the maximum density. We allow them to bear fruit moderately," Gogiashvili explained. "A tree does not have a soul, but it is sensitive, and we treat it gently, like a person. We do not mistreat it, so to speak, and we do not approach it solely for profit," he continued. The orchard covers about 10 hectares and grows two varieties of nectarines. Each tree yields between 70 and 100 kilograms of fruit per season, with the total harvest reaching around 150 tonnes. "
