A St Catherine man has been fined a total of $70,000 or 14 days’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to driving without a licence and insurance. The accused, Deshaun Rhoden, was charged with driving without a driver’s licence and operating a motor vehicle without insurance coverage. When he appeared in the parish court on April 2, Parish Judge Geneta Smikle imposed a fine of $40,000 or seven days’ imprisonment for driving without a licence, and $30,000 or seven days’ imprisonment for having no insurance.
