MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Coast Guard rescued a 38-year-old man who was drowning at sea in Barangay Centro 1, Claveria, Cagayan on Good Friday. In a report on Black Saturday, the PCG said the victim was spotted struggling in the water around 2:02 p.m. An officer from the Coast Guard Sub-Station Claveria Baywatch immediately swam toward the victim and brought him safely to shore. “Upon rescue, the victim was found to be under the influence of alcohol,” the PCG’s report said.
