DAVAO CITY — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Saturday said that a magnitude 5.9 quake struck off the coast of Davao Occidental at 6:34 p.m. The earthquake’s epicenter was traced 59 kilometers southeast of the island town of Sarangani.
